Blush gives you the look of that sun kissed glow. Applying mineral blush may be a little tricky if you have been used to applying the traditional makeup which uses preservatives and harsher chemical dyes. Using a high quality soft brush will produce the best finish possibly.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • high quality soft brush
  • Mineral blush
  1. Step 1

Find a high quality soft brush to use to apply the blush. When swirled around the blush you should be able to see just a little on the ends.

  2. Step 2

Find a color blush that will enhance your natural skin tones; warmer complexions should look for peachy shades while cooler complexions should be in search of pinker tones.

  3. Step 3

Gently swirl the brush in the lid of the brush to lightly apply it. Remember to start out with small quantities as more can always be applied if needed.

  4. Step 4

To obtain a fuller looking face apply the blush with the concentration on the apples of your cheeks. If a narrower look is what you would like to achieve then angle the blush towards your temples, making sure that they blend well at the outer edges and point slightly down to avoid a horizontal appearance. Blend outwards and slightly down for a natural effect.

  5. Step 5

If you feel as though you have applied too much blush don't worry, there is something you can do to down-tone the color. Simply sweet a little finishing powder or foundation over the top and this will help to lighten the appearance of the blush.

  6. Step 6

To enhance your entire make-up match your blush with your lip color as well. Pink or red lips coordinate with pink blush, coral lips compliment apricot or peach blush, rose lips paired with rose cheeks, and bronze lips coordinate well with bronze cheeks.
