You can use many commercial cleaners to treat mildew stains on clothing. But instead of spending a lot of money on harsh chemicals, you should consider mixing some common household products to remove the stain.   • Water
  • Powder detergent

Instructions

    • 1

      Take a soft brush and rub it over the stained area. The best place to do this is outside. A patio table is ideal.

      Create your stain-removing solution. Mix together 2 tsp. of water, 1 tsp. of chalk powder and 2 tsp. of powder detergent. For a larger stain, use more of these substances in the same proportion.

      Apply this solution to the stained area and allow it to dry.

      Brush the area with a soft brush again.

      Wash the piece of clothing in cold water with detergent. Add 1/2 cup of distilled white vinegar to the load.

      Dry the clothes outdoors in sunlight to have a bleaching effect on the affected area.
