Let's face it, there are times when you just cannot avoid an argument with someone. These are the times we need to exhibit self control and keep our words to a minimum. Here are some tips that can help you avoid that toxic and possibly even fatal argument. Whatever the issue, there are ways you can come out learning from the experience. Arguing, blaming, and holding on to resentments can eat away at your focus in life. Make a list of the things that you are resentful over and see if there are some you can let go of.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Calm attitude
  • Self Control
  • Escape Plan
  • Prayer
  1. Step 1

    Make sure to remain calm - NO MATTER WHAT!
    Exercise Self Control over your emotions
    Keep your cool...

  2. Step 2

    Come up with a plan to leave if necessary
    Forgive the other person for any harsh words
    Make sure to keep your cool!

  3. Step 3

    Look at the argument from both sides. Was the other person right?
    Were you? Either way, make sure to refrain from anger and violence.

  • Look at issue from both sides
  • Remain calm no matter what
  • Don't trade insults
  • Don't yell and scream
  • DO NOT get violent
