Copper has natural beauty. Because copper is a great conductor to heat, it is commonly used to coat steel cookware to improve heat conduction. Copper has a natural element of forming a green patina on its surface, to protect itself from corrosion. Many people like to display their cookware on a hanging rack suspended from their kitchen ceiling. Dirty copper bottoms are not appealing to the eye. If you have copper pots and pans that appear to be dirty and dull, never polish the copper. Here is how to clean copper pots and pans without chemicals:

Things You'll Need:

  • Dirty Copper pots and pan bottoms
  • Lemon
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Clean dry dishcloth
  1. Step 1

    Take a lemon and Cut it in half.

  2. Step 2

    Dip each half of the lemon into regular table salt.

  3. Step 3

    Rub the lemon covered in salt onto the copper bottom of pots and pan

  4. Step 4

    Rinse the salty lemon juice from the bottom of the pan with warm water.

  5. Step 5

    Dry with a clean dish towel.

  6. Step 6

    Repeat this process as needed to enjoy clean copper pots and pans.
