      Disconnect your car battery.

      Remove the dashboard surrounding your car stereo for access to the stereo.

      Unscrew the screws holding your car stereo in place. Slide the stereo out of the dashboard.

      Carefully disconnect the power, ignition and speaker wires attached to your stereo.
