How to make a copper bracelet with your name printed on it.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 9"x1/2" Copper strip
  • anvil
  • leather mallet
  • Buffer
  • pencil
  • metal stamps
  • steel wool
  • metal filer
  • crocus paper
  • Emory paper
  1. Step 1

    Divide your copper into 3 equal parts, and find center point.

  2. Step 2

    File down your corners to get rid of sharp edges with your metal filer.

  3. Step 3

    Use Crocus paper to smoothen your copper faces, and use the Emory paper to smoothen your sides of the copper.

  4. Step 4

    "Peen" the outer sections with the round end of your hammer. THIS STEP IS ONLY FOR DECORATION AND MAY BE SKIPPED!!!

  5. Step 5

    Draw a guideline 1/8 of an inch above the bottom in the middle section.

  6. Step 6

    Use a hammer and metal stamp to stamp your name on the guideline.

  7. Step 7

    Buff your copper strip with an electronic buffer.

  8. Step 8

    Wash your copper to remove any black marks.

  9. Step 9

    Use the mallet to strike the copper on the round part of the anvil. This should form the bracelet shape.

  10. Step 10

    Slip it on your wrist, and, Voila! A shiny, new, copper bracelet! Hope this Helped!!!

Tips & Warnings
  • When buffing, use a piece of wood to keep the metal straight.
  • When removing the black marks, use your fingernail to very slightly scratch out the marks.
  • Do NOT attempt to Buff your finger! IT WILL BURN YOU!!!
