This article will show you how to make a beautiful photo book using your own digital photos. A photo book is not a photo album. Instead you design pages on your computer then the book is printed and bound for you. The end result looks just like a photo book you would buy in a store and the cost is surprisingly low. And you'll have great fun choosing backgrounds and frames and layouts. Find out more about how to make your own photo book here.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Digital photos
  • An idea for a book
  1. Step 1

Select a company to publish your photo book. When you make your own photo book, you will be able to create your book online for free. You can usually share a digital version free too. You will only need to pay for physical copies of the book but this is not as expensive as you might think. You can find companies that can make a 20 page 8.5 x 11 inch hardcover photo book for you for around $30.

  2. Step 2

Collect the photos that you want to use in your photo book. The best photo books are based on a single theme and often tell a story. it could be the story of your family history, the story of your wedding day or of your baby's first year. You can even make a photo book that is a story with your own kids as the main characters.

  3. Step 3

Upload or import your pictures into the design software that your chosen publisher provides. This is the software that you will use to make your photo book. Using the software, choose layouts and backgrounds for each page and drag your photos on to them. You can also add text to pages if you like.
