How to Find The Domestic Per Diem Rates

Traveling for business and you want to know the domestic per diem rates for the city you are traveling to. The following steps will help you in making sure you are paid a far per diem rate while you are out of town on business.

1. Copy and paste the following link to your browser. www.gsa.gov

2. At the top left of the page under the "Most Requested Links" section click on "Per Diem Rates."

3. Click on the state that you are traveling to.

4. Now a list of cities from that state will show. You will be given the per diem rates for lodging if the lodging is paid for by you. If your company picks up the lodging then you can claim the "meal and incidental expense" rates. Depending on when you travel you could only claim a portion of the first and last day of travel. This rate is given on the far right.
