Honey makes a great sweetener that can be added to anything from coffee to sandwiches. The versatile topping can be infused with a number of ingredients including herbs and even chocolate. Fruit also makes a great addition because of its sweetness -- and making fruit-flavored honey is as easy as adding some of your favorite fruit to a pot of honey and heating it up. Things You'll Need

  • 1/4 cup fruit
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Pot
  • Stove
  • Jar

Instructions

      Place 1/4 cup fruit in a pot with 1/2 cup honey and 1/4 cup water.

      Bring the mixture to a boil and let it simmer for approximately 30 minutes.

      Strain in a colander. Taste the mixture and if the flavor is not the desired strength, return it to the pot and gradually stir in more honey or fruit.

      Pour the mixture into a jar and let it cool, then store for a couple days before eating.
