Step 1
***Inexpensive Option***
Take the 5A bus route, which has stops at the L’Enfant Plaza Metro and Rosslyn Metro (both Orange/Blue line). The 5A bus is an express route to Dulles Airport, but it can take from 45 minutes to over an hour from the Rosslyn Metro station, depending on traffic. The bus schedule can be found on the DC Metro website – www.wmata.com. The cost of travel is the cost of Metrobus fare. -
Step 2
***Moderate Option***
Take the DC Metrorail to the West Falls Church Metro (Orange Line) and once you exit, follow the signs to catch the Washington Flyer Coach which takes you directly to the Main Terminal at Dulles Airport. Buses depart every 30 minutes. The advantage is that there is a schedule of departure times available online if you visit http://www.washfly.com/flyer_bus_schedule.htm. Tickets can be purchased on the bus and the cost is $10 one-way or $18 roundtrip. -
Step 3
***Expensive Option***
If public transportation doesn’t appeal to you, you can also schedule for Super Shuttle to pick you up from your location and drop you off at the airport. The advantage is that Super Shuttle can work with your schedule and departure time. The cost can vary depending on how many passengers in your party, but it can be priced anywhere between $30-100. Call or check the Super Shuttle website to determine the exact cost.
