Things You'll Need:
- Measuring Tape
- Office Chair
- Hard floor chair mat
-
Step 1
Measure the work area that you will need your hard floor chair mat to cover. Make sure to give some extra room so you are not rolling off of the chair mat all the time, that can be very annoying.
-
Step 2
Never use chair mats that have the bumps on the bottom on a hard floor. I have seen the effects of this and it is not a pretty sight. The underside should be smooth on a hard floor chair mat.
-
Step 3
Make sure you to find a hard floor chair mat with a non skid back. You are going to want a chair mat that is durable, and will not slide around on a hard surface.
-
Step 4
Consider breaking away from the norm with a circular or triangular hard floor chair mat. These styles can also be more functional in tighter spaces than the traditional T-shaped chair mat.
