1. I've been coloring my hair for 35 years so I have some limited wisdom on this subject. I have come up with some funky colors before I figured out how to do this right.

2. First of all if you have dark colored hair and want to go blonde you are not going to get the hair color that is on the box. What you have to do is apply a stripper and then a color.

3. Beware of the ash colors because they will turn your hair green. You will have to experiment with the colors until you find the right one for you. Strippers are very hard on your hair so beware.

4. I have had green hair, red hair, orange hair, purple hair. All on accident. Trial and error. If you want to go many colors lighter than your natural color you might want to have it professionaly done.
