Plan where you want above ground ponds for fish to be in your yard. This could be in your garden or on a deck or patio. Be sure the location is strong enough to hold up a pond and that the surface is flat since relatively smooth. Marked out the dimensions of the above ground ponds for fish where you intend to build it.

Stack of bricks or stones blocks as directed by the manufacturer in your rectangle or square shape. Masonry adhesive, cement or other materials should be used to attach them firmly to each other. If you are using timbers, stack them in the same shape and attach them to each other with brackets and bolts. You want to build a wall at least 1 foot high but preferably 2 feet tall if you want to keep fish in the water garden.
