How to Get Rid of Old Boats

Instructions

1. Go to the Boats With Causes website (see Resources) and click on "Donate Boat Easily---Just Fill Out This form" in the middle of the home page.

2. Fill out the form to let them know you have a boat to donate. You will need to know the make, model and year of the boat, as well as engine hours, size and condition.

3. Meet with the Boats With Causes representative at the specified time to sign over the title. You will receive a form from them stating the appraised value of the boat and that you donated it to charity.

4. Save the form the Boats With Causes representative gives you for tax time. Your boat is a tax deductible donation, so take advantage of that tax break.
