Select your folding screen. For a rustic style, choose simple, natural colors and patterns. Choose elegant patterns in matching colors for a Victorian-style bedroom. For an exotic style, choose a folding screen with simple patterns and bold colors.

Place the folding screen flat against the wall. Consider applying felt circles (available at any hardware store in the furniture department) to the back of the folding screen to keep it from scratching the paint.

Move the bed in place in front of the folding screen. Be careful not to mash the screen against the wall. Instead, give it at least 1/2 inch of breathing space.
