How to Program a GM Cadillac Keyless Entry System

One of the most popular aftermarket options available on many cars today is the keyless entry system. Using an easy programming method and small remote systems, you can lock and unlock your car from hundreds of feet away. With the remote for your GM Cadillac, you can also open your trunk, start your car in advance and make the alarm sound on your car.

Instructions

1. Close the doors on your car and turn the key to the "On" position.

2. Push the center starting button on your keyless remote three times within 5 seconds of turning your key. The door locks will automatically turn on and off to indicate that the programming is initiated.

3. Press any button on the keyless remote to begin programming. The doors will again lock and unlock to indicate the cycle.

4. Program any additional remotes by repeating Steps 2 and 3.

5. Turn the key in the ignition to the "Off" position and wait for the door lock cycle to begin again, indicating the end of the programming process. Test your locks by pressing the lock or unlock button on your remote.
