The graphics (video) card is built into the logic board on the Apple PowerBook G4 which is very expensive to replace, considering that is costs upwards of $350. If you need to replace your graphics card due to it no longer functioning, you are better off purchasing a new laptop. However, if you want to enhance the graphics capabilities of your laptop, the PowerBook G4 can take a secondary graphics card through the PCMCIA (Cardbus) slot which will allow it to control a wide range of external displays, including DVI, ADC or VGA monitors.
