How to Make Face Scrubs
There are a variety of facial scrubs that are useful for different skin types and conditions. Unfortunately, many are not only very expensive, but may contain harsh chemicals that are not necessary to treat the skin. It is possible to create most face scrubs right in your own kitchen. The sugar and honey facial scrub ingredients include sugar (a natural exfoliate) and honey (an antioxidant), so combining the two seems natural in order to create a soothing and effective facial scrub that can be made right in your own kitchen. Mix 1 tablespoon of sugar with 2 tablespoons of honey together to create enough for a one-time scrub.

Make enough to last for a week by tripling the recipe and filling a small glass jar with an airtight lid.

Wash your face with a gentle cleanser and warm water before applying the scrub. Use a clean applicator to apply the sugar/honey scrub to the face, then a circular motion to exfoliate.

Rinse with warm water to remove any residue, and follow by washing your face again with a gentle cleanser. Follow with a cool rinse to close the pores.

Pat the face dry, but allow a light amount of moisture to remain. Follow the sugar/honey scrub with your favorite moisturizer to further hydrate the skin. Perform the facial scrub one to two time per week as needed for skin smoothness and hydration.
