A wedding is a memorable event that the bride and groom will both remember for the rest of their lives. While many couples have dozens (or hundreds) of photos taken, most people put them into an album and just tuck the album away for years, without looking at the photos. Instead, pick a few photos that are special to you, and frame them. Make the display even more special by making your own wedding picture frames.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Plain wooden picture frames
  • Paint
  • Fine-tipped paint pen
  • Sand paper
  • Clear spray sealant (choose glossy or matte)
  1. Step 1

Gently sand the wood of the picture frame. This will allow the paint to adhere better. If you don't sand the wood, the paint might start to fleck off within a few years.

  2. Step 2

Paint the frames in a light color of paint. White is a great idea, since these are wedding photos, but any light color is fine, if you prefer to match the frame to your home decor. Allow the paint to dry for several hours or overnight.

  3. Step 3

Use the fine-tipped paint pen to write the name of the bride and groom, along with the date of the wedding. Alternately, you can write a meaningful quote or piece of song lyrics that is meaningful to the two of you. Allow this to dry for several hours.

  4. Step 4

Spray the frame with spray sealant. This will seal the paint and protect it for years.
