When the convergence on your Apex Rear Projection TV goes bad, the problem can be both expensive and a major hassle. However, if the convergence is simply out of alignment, there is a quick fix you can easily perform using your remote control. If you adjust the convergence settings on your TV and everything looks fine, the convergence chips on your TV are working properly and the problem is solved. There is, however, only one way to find that out.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Select the "Menu" button on your remote control. This will bring up a display menu on the screen, giving you access to all of the customizable settings on your television.

  2. Step 2

Select "Settings" from the list of available menu options. This will bring up a variety of different settings categories, including "Color" and "Channels."

  3. Step 3

Select "Convergence" from the list of menu options. This will bring up the settings to adjust the convergence on your Apex Rear Projection TV.

  4. Step 4

Use the arrow buttons on your remote control to line up the colors that have appeared. If your convergence is out of sync, you will see three lines of color. They should all be overlapping as one solid line. When you are finished, press the "Menu" button on your remote control to exit the menu and continue watching television.
