A timeshare in the UK can be a great thing to have when you travel there often. If you own a UK timeshare and have decided its time to pass it along to a new owner, here are some tips for selling your UK timeshare property.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pictures of your timeshare property
  • A good description of the timeshare
  1. Step 1

Determine a price for your timeshare. Do a little research and find out what similar timeshares in the area where yours is located have been selling for. You want to make sure you price your timeshare so that you aren't shortchanging yourself, but also to confirm that you aren't charging so much that no one wants to buy it.

  2. Step 2

Place an ad in the newspaper, as well as online classified sites such as Craigslist. Since your timeshare is a vacation property you may be better served to post your ad in several large cities rather than the town you live in. The more eyes who see your ad, the better your chances of finding a potential buyer.

  3. Step 3

Contact a timeshare sales office and discuss selling your property with them. Much like you would hire a real estate agent to sell your home it might be worth it to hire a salesperson to take care of the sale of your time share.

  4. Step 4

Talk to your friends about wanting to sell your time share. A friend who accompanied you on a vacation a few years ago might be interested in purchasing the property now that it is available. Your friends may also have other friends who are in the market to purchase a time share and can recommend your property.

  5. Step 5

Consider trading your UK time share for a time share in a new place. If your interest in selling your timeshare was to purchase another one in a new location then you may be able to swap timeshares with someone in that area instead of going through the buying and selling process.

Tips & Warnings
  • When dealing with potential buyers be very cautious to avoid becoming a victim of fraud.
