Instructions

  1. Junction Box Installation

    • 1

Organize your work station prior to beginning the installation process. This can expedite the installation process and make the process less complicated. All items should be arranged according to the order they will be installed. Therefore the junction box and its wires and components should be positioned first. The microphone should be placed after the junction Box, and the external speaker and its components should be arranged last.

    • 2

Color coordinate your wires and USB connectors. Match each color wire to the color labels on the hardware's outlet ports. This will create ease of access when locating the wires for installation. Remove the fuse outlets, and tape the holders according to color. Turn the car ignition off if you have not already done so to safely begin the installation.

    • 3

Plug the green ignition wire into the fuse box's ignition-switch slot. Connect the orange wire. The orange wire, which is considered the mute wire, should be connected to the car's stereo/radio wire. Now plug the red fuse wire to a fused four to five amp location on the car's fuse box.

    • 4

Attach the black USB connector cable wire to the car's chassis. Configure the connection by powering on the vehicle to confirm that the connection is functional. Once you have confirmed the functionality of the connection, turn the car off once again to begin installing the Motorola microphone and speaker.

    Microphone and Speaker Installation

    • 5

Apply the Motorola microphone's USB connecting cable to the back outlet port of the Bluetooth junction box. The Motorola microphone's USB connecting cable will have a larger adapter at the end of it. The larger end should be connected to the largest outlet port on the Bluetooth junction box.

    • 6

Position the Motorola microphone in a stationary location. There will be a set of clips pre-attached to the microphone for mobility purposes. Clip the microphone to a location that will be easy for the driver to access. It should also be visible at all times and in a safe place, to avoid any physical damage. The electronic device should be mounted in a position on the dashboard where the vibrations can be easily heard without any sound distortion.

    • 7

Attach the Bluetooth speaker under the dashboard on the driver's side. Using a 4mm flat-head drill, screw the four outermost corners of the speaker to the bottom of the dashboard on the passenger side. The speaker should be positioned in the opposite direction of the microphone to avoid wave interference and sound distortion. Place the Bluetooth speaker below the airbag on the passenger side of the car using the same process.

Tips & Warnings

  • Assemble the wires and components prior to installing the kit in the actual vehicle. This will allow you to test the connection of all of the wires to ensure everything is working properly before going through the tedious process of installing the kit in its entirety. The blue and yellow wires are extra wires and should be put in a safe place in the event something goes wrong with any of the installed wires. If you are using either one of these wires, you may have installed something incorrectly.

  • Do not use any hardware, other than what has been provided with the kit. You may cause damage to some of the components if you opt to implement your own hardware. If you are inexperienced with this type of technical installation, you should consider hiring a trained professional to install this type of car kit.
