Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Begin the download process by clicking the Windows Defender link in Resources.
    On the main page, click "Get it Now." On the Validation page, select the download speed; click "Continue."

  2. Step 2

    Click "Install" and then click "Download" on the "Internet Explorer Window." Click "Run." When the download is complete, click "Next" and then Click the "Validate" button.

  3. Step 3

    Check the box to accept the terms and agreement and then click "Next." On the "Help Protect Windows" screen, check the box to accept "User Recommended Settings" and then click "Next." The user-recommended settings keep your computer updated automatically.

  4. Step 4

    Select "Complete" on the new screen to install the default settings on your computer; click "Next." Click "Install" and the download should begin. When it is complete, click "Finish." Double-click the Windows Defender icon on the desktop and begin running scans.
