An Ace® brand bandage is an elastic roller bandage, and it comes in several widths. A 4-inch bandage width is advised for wrapping the leg. The Ace® brand bandage is not meant for a wound, but for strains, contusions and sprains.
When wrapping the leg with an Ace® brand bandage, it's important that it isn't wrapped so tightly that it restricts circulation of the blood. Loose ends of the bandage must also be secured.
When bandaging a leg with an Ace® brand bandage, avoid covering the toe, as any changes in color of the toe would indicate a circulation problem.
