Mix concrete into a bucket according to the packaging instructions. How much concrete you need to mix up will depend on the number of ladybugs you are making and also the size. However, for most molding projects, it is safe to say that you will only need one bag or less of concrete. Bags come in 60 to 80 pound sizes, depending on the brand. For example, if you are using the Rapid Set brand of concrete mix, it yields 0.5 cubic feet per 60 pound bag which equals out to be 12" x 12" x 6". However, Rapid Set uses more than a normal concrete mix, dries extremely fast, and is much more expensive than other brands of concrete.

Scoop concrete into the mold with a small gardening shovel. Smooth off the top. Allow the concrete to dry for 24 hours before removing from mold. If you are using the Rapid Set brand, allow the concrete to dry according to packaging instructions.

4
Remove the concrete from the mold. This is typically done by flipping the mold upside down and putting a little pressure on it from the top. The mold should come right off.
-
5
Prime your ladybug mold with a exterior primer.
Paint your ladybug using exterior paints.
Place your ladybug paver into your garden or wherever you desire.
