How to Connect a Karaoke Player to a DVD Player

Many karaoke players can be directly connected to a television set. However, there are other karaoke players that are stand-alone players and cannot be directly connected to a TV. One way to get around that flaw is to connect the karaoke player to a DVD player.

Things You'll Need:

• RCA cables

1. Plug one end of the RCA cable into the back of the karaoke player. The RCA cable is a typical red, white and yellow cable. Match the colors of the cable to the colors on the back of your karaoke player.

2. Locate the input jacks on the back of your DVD player. Not all DVD players will have input jacks, but you will have to have a DVD player with these jacks in order to connect your karaoke player.

3. Plug the other end of the RCA cable into the input jacks of the DVD player.

4. Plug another set of RCA cables from the output of the DVD player into the input jacks on your television. You have now successfully connected your karaoke player to a DVD player and can view your karaoke discs on your television.
