Modded PC Game

PC game mods are a great way to revamp old games that you have played, and add new levels, features, graphics, and much more. Modding games is quite easy, and usually requires simply executing a new installer in the proper way. Mods are easily found, and widely used and created.

Things You'll Need

• Installed game
• Mod for the game downloaded

Instructions

1. Download the desired mod for the game you wish to change. These mods can be found usually by doing a simple Internet search, or by looking at fan-sites for your game. The downloaded mod will usually be placed within a ".zip" or a ".rar" file.

2. Right-click on the file you just downloaded, and click on 'Extract to...'.

3. In the pop-up window, navigate to the base folder of the game you wish to mod. Then, click "Extract." Then, once the process has completed, click on "View extracted files." This will open the base folder of your game.

4. Double-click on the ".exe" file for the mod you just downloaded. The file will be named with the common name of the mod.

5. Follow the installation instructions to properly install the mod over the game.

6. To start the modded version of the game, click on the mod icon in your start menu, or on your desktop.

Tips & Warnings

• If the mod replaces your games base files, make a copy of these beforehand to prevent the loss of any information that you will want later.

• Always use caution when installing programs over one another. Altered settings can easily overwrite files and permanently erase them.
