How to Get Zac Efron's Haircut

Start with clean hair that is at least chin length or longer. All tangles should be combed out prior to cutting. To get Zac's cut, the bangs have to be below the eye to start. Starting with hair that is longer than shoulder length will require heavy-duty scissors, because of the extra weight of the hair.

Cut the hair evenly along the nape of the neck first, using scissors. To do this use your fingers to hold the ends in place. You should cut 1-inch from the base of the head. The first cut will dictate the entire length of the back of the head. Once you cut that one piece, use it as a guide for the rest of the back side of the head.

Use the razor to angle cut the bangs in front. Make sure that the hair is parted so that it falls to the left. This is where you start your cut. Use a ruler to measure 3cm up from the center of the left eye. Continue shading down with the razor. Don't worry if the shading is a bit jagged, that is what makes the look relaxed.

Razor the top of the head by measuring 5 inches of hair and razoring of the rest at an angle to make the cut natural. A good way to make this look nice is to grab a thick enough section (3 inches wide) and razor across at a diagonal angle. Angle the razor so that you are cutting less an less off the closer you get to the back of the head.

Apply gel to the hair and comb with a fine tooth comb to de-tangle. Keep your hair parted to the left, so that the bangs will resemble Zac's bangs. You can add your own flair by ruffling your hair with your hands when out and about.
