Instructions

    • 1

Set up the headband. Use a tape measure to find the circumference around your head, right above your eyebrows. Cut a piece of white felt that is 2 inches longer than your head's circumference and a shade under 2 inches wide. Attach the Velcro piece to the ends of your headband so it stays put around your head, either with fabric glue or by stitching them onto the end of the headband with needle and thread.

      Headband symbol

Set up the headband patch. Use a black fabric marker to draw the Sasuke headband symbol on your rectangle of silver fabric. The symbol is a swirl with its tail to the upper right and a small triangle coming off the lower left. Glue or stitch the patch to the front center of your headband.

      Image for back of shirt

Hook up the shirt. Cut the red and white felt to create the Sasuke symbol on the back of the shirt. The symbol is a circle with a thin stem coming out of the bottom. Sketch the top two-thirds of the circle on red felt, with a lower edge the curves inward. Sketch the bottom third of the circle with the stem on white felt. Cut out your sketches and glue or stitch them to the back of the black shirt.

Make the socks and armbands. Cut three strips of black felt that are 1 inch wide and about 18 inches long. Put on the socks and wrap one strip of felt around each sock by gluing or stitching the end of the felt strip at the top of the sock band and spiraling down to the ankle, gluing or stitching the felt along the way to keep it in place. Cut the foot part off the other pair of socks and put one sock over your arm, pulled up to the bicep. Repeat the process you used for the socks to attach your last strip of black felt around one armband. Your other armband will remain plain.

Put it all together. Once your felt designs are complete, put on the shirt, shorts, socks, armbands and headband. Wear black shoes or short boots for the best effect.

Tips & Warnings

  • Get inexpensive black shorts and a shirt from a secondhand shop. Find fabric at the fabric or craft store. Craft stores will also have fabric markers, fabric glue and needle and thread.
