These pretty roses make great decorations for wedding receptions, baby showers or a Mother's Day brunch. Tulle and Hershey's Kisses are combined to make sweet table centerpieces, gift decorations or as individual place markers on a table.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Tulle
  • Hershey's Kisses
  • Floral wire
  • Floral tape
  • Hot glue
  • Silk rose leaves, optional
  1. Step 1

Wrap one end of the floral tape twice around the pointed end of the Hershey's Kiss. Lay a 12-inch piece of floral wire just next to the pointed tip of the Hershey's kiss with about 1/4-inch of the wire sticking up past the candy's pointed end. Do not push the wire into the candy. Continue wrapping the floral tape down around the wire securing the Hershey's Kiss to the wire. Wrap the tape all the way to the bottom of the wire, pull the tape over the end of the wire to cover and continue wrapping the tape back up the wire to the candy. Wrap at least twice around the candy to secure, and cut off the excess tape.

  2. Step 2

Cut a piece of tulle approximately 2 inches wide by 6 inches long. Hot glue one end of the tulle to the floral tape around the bottom of the candy. Glue on the bottom edge of the tulle. Continue wrapping the tulle around the candy kiss. Be sure to keep the bottom edge of the tulle tight around the floral tape on the bottom edge of the candy kiss. Hot glue the bottom edge of the loose end of the tulle once it is completely wrapped around. If desired, hot glue two silk rose leaves to the bottom edge of the tulle on opposite sides.

  3. Step 3

Wrap floral tape around the bottom edge of the tulle covering the bottom edges of the leaves. Wrap the tape all the way down the wire, pulling the tape over the end of the wire and wrapping back up the wire. Cut off the excess tape.

  4. Step 4

Pull the layers of the tulle open slightly to form a rose. The Hershey's Kiss forms the middle of the rose. Repeat Steps 1 through 4 to make as many tulle roses as needed. The floral wire can be cut shorter or longer depending on how it will be used for decoration. If using for place markers on a table for guests, glue a name tag on the stem below the bottoms edge of the tulle. If placing in a vase for a centerpiece, add glass stones to the vase beforehand to help hold up the tulle roses. Be sure that each guest gets a rose after the reception or party.
