An Amuze TV tuner card is a piece of hardware designed to fit inside your computer. Once installed, it allows a user to watch, record, and save live television signals all from the comfort of their personal computer. Installing and setting up the Amuze TV tuner card, while it does require some level of comfort with working around the inside of a computer, is not as difficult as one would think. Use this article as a guide while you set up your Amuze TV tuner card.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Install the Amuze TV Tuner Card on the inside of your computer. Take one of the sides off of your desktop computer's tower and locate your open video card port. Take the TV tuner out of the package, match the pins on the bottom of the card with the plug on the inside of your computer, and plug it in. It can only fit in one way, so there is no risk of plugging it in wrong. When this is done, put the side back on your computer and screw it securely into place.

  2. Step 2

Plug your television antenna or coaxial cable (from your cable television service) into the coaxial input located on the back of your TV tuner card. When your card is properly installed on the inside of your computer, this coax input will be found on the back of your computer tower.

  3. Step 3

Turn on your computer. Your operating system will automatically recognize the installation of the new hardware.

  4. Step 4

Install the software from the CD or flash drive that came packaged with your TV tuner card. Once your card is physically installed, all that is left is to setup the software that came with it. This is the software that will allow you to watch television through the card. This software will also allow you to pause, stop, and record programming.

  5. Step 5

Restart your computer. To finish the software installation, you must restart your computer.

  6. Step 6

Run the software. Locate the icon for the software, now located in the "Programs" folder found when clicking the "Start" menu, and execute it. The software is now installed and functioning, and nothing else stands in your way from watching television on your computer.
