Instructions

    • 1

Measure the height of the cupcake with a ruler.

    • 2

Cut the paper disposable cup in half horizontally so that you have a ring of paper the depth of the cupcake. If you use the bottom half of the cup, you'll also have a bottom for the cupcake to sit on.

    • 3

Measure the height and circumference of the paper cup ring. You'll need a paper or cloth ruler to do this. If you don't have either of those, you can wrap a piece of string around the paper ring, and then measure the piece of string.

      Decoration

Use the measurement you got in Step 3 to measure and cut a piece of scrapbooking or craft paper to fit around your cup ring.

    • 5

Pour some white craft glue into a disposable cup, and add a small amount of water to dilute the glue. Use a popsicle stick or craft brush to mix the glue and water mixture.

    • 6

Use a craft brush to spread the glue over the outside of the paper cup ring.

    • 7

Cover the paper ring with the craft paper. Use paper clips on the top and the bottom of the ring to hold the paper in place until the glue dries.

    • 8

Let the rings sit until the glue is completely dry, and you can remove the paper clips.

    • 9

Slide the paper holders over the bottom of the cupcakes. Decorate the tops of the cupcakes.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also choose to decorate the paper holders with glitter, sticky jewels or let your kids color them before you put them on the cupcakes.

  • Make sure the glue is completely dry before you put the holders on the cupcakes. It is important not to decorate the cupcakes until they are in the holders, so the frosting doesn't get all over.
