You can apply Sephora eye shadows several different ways. The company offers a wide variety of colors, some with a matte finish and some that shimmer. Your choice of colors and finishes will vary depending on the look you want to achieve. Some prefer a subtle, clean look using just one or two colors. Others will prefer layering several colors to create smokey eyes for a more dramatic look. For a standard daytime look using one of Sephora's four-color palettes, apply the lightest shades all over your eyelid and use the darker colors in the crease and corners closest to your nose. Blend using an eye shadow brush.

Things You'll Need:

    Preparing Your Eyes

Start by applying an eye-brightening cream or a bit of concealer over your eyelids. This will even out your skin tone and make the eye shadow look more uniform on your lids.

  2. Step 2

For a soft under-eye liner, use the tip of the applicator to sweep one of the darker shades under your lids beginning closest to the bridge of your nose and sweeping out toward your temple. Use a small amount for a thin, subtle liner or more for a thicker line for a more dramatic look.

  3. Step 3

Using the flat side of the applicator, apply one or both of the lighter shades across your entire eyelids. Be sure you've concentrated a good amount in the upper corners to make your eyes look brighter and wider.

  4. Step 4

Apply the second darkest shade in the crease only, or in the crease and on the lower part of your lid. Use the eyeshadow brush to blend the lighter shades with the darker shade, using an upward motion with the brush, beginning at the lower lid with a lifting motion.

  5. Step 5

Dot your applicator tip with some of the darkest shade and smudge a bit in the corners of your eyes closest to your nose. Blend again using the brush.
