Things You'll Need:
- Square potholder loom
- Loops
- Crochet hook
-
Step 1
Lay a row of loops onto your loom, hooking each of the loop's ends onto the pegs on the top and bottom edges of the loom. Do this until all of the top and bottom edges have a loop on them.
-
Step 2
Lay the edges of a loop on the top left peg. Take the loop and push it under the first vertical loop.
-
Step 3
Starting from the right, pull the loop you pushed under the first vertical loop in Step 2 over the second vertical loop and under the third vertical loop. Repeat this process until you finish weaving the horizontal loop through all the vertical loops. Place the end of the vertical loop on the first left peg.
-
Step 4
Repeat Step 3 with each horizontal loop until there are no horizontal loops left. This will leave you with a complete woven square. Push the loops up or down to spread them out evenly.
-
Step 5
Use a crochet hook to finish off the edges of your square. Take the hook, and grab a loop off one of the corner pegs. Pull this loop through a second loop.
-
Step 6
Continue pulling one loop through the next loop until you have only one loop left. The last loop will be left out and used to hang your loom potholder.
