How to Make Your Car Tires Spin
Spinning car tires is not just something done by teenagers driving dad's sports car for the first time. Spinning the tires on a car is actually done by professional drag racers and other race car drivers to warm the rubber on the tires. Warm rubber sticks to the surface of the road/track and allows for better traction at the beginning of a race. Learn how to make your car tires spin to get your tires sticky and ready for traction.

Put the car in neutral, and set the emergency brake. Place your left foot on the clutch and your right foot near the gas pedal.

Press the clutch down completely with your left foot, and put the car into first gear. Press the gas pedal down slowly, making sure the emergency brake is working to hold the car still.

Press the gas down until you see smoke coming from the tires. This means that the tires are spinning very quickly. Hold this position until you are ready to stop. Check the RPM gauge to make sure the indicator needle does not reach the limiter level, which should be indicated by a red line or mark.
Automatic Car

Stop the car, and set the emergency brake. Place your left foot on the brake pedal and your right foot near the gas pedal.

Put the car into Drive, but press the brake pedal to the floor with your left foot so the car doesn't move.

Press the gas pedal down with your right foot until you notice smoke coming from the tires. This means that the tires are spinning. Keep the brake pressed firmly to the floor so the car doesn't move. Do this until you are ready to stop, but make sure the indicator needle on the RPM gauge stays below the red line/mark. If the needle gets close to the mark, let off of the gas for a second and then press on it again. The tires won't stop spinning, but may slow down for a moment.

Tips & Warnings
Make sure there are no bystanders or vehicles near your car. A car with spinning tires can easily get out of control.
