Step 1
Lay vinyl wood flooring on your bathroom floor to mimic the wooden plank floor found on a basketball court. Vinyl floors are great for a bathroom because they resist moisture, so you won't have a problem with warping, mold or mildew. You can have your floor professionally laid, or you can use peel-and-stick tiles available at home improvement stores that sell flooring materials.

Paint your bathroom walls in neutral colors, such as white, black or gray, in order to provide a blank canvas for your decor. Basketball accessories are often colorful, and walls in a neutral color will help them stand out without making them look too busy.

Add accessories that incorporate the game or your favorite team. You can find basketball themed bath mats, shower curtains, wall hangings and even toilet bowl covers on many websites that sell sports decor. You can even find licensed accessories featuring the colors and logo of your favorite team.

Use your souvenir cups for containers to decorate your bathroom. Line them up on the counter and use them to hold your toothbrushes, hair combs, cotton or any other items you like to keep on hand in the bathroom. Alternately, consider using your bathroom to house a collection of team cups. Hang shelves to house them and display them all lined up in a row.

Purchase some orange towels and wash cloths to use as guest or decorative towels and hang them on your towel rack. If you are crafty, or you know someone with a steady hand, you can use black fabric paint to paint lines on them resembling the black lines on a basketball. Use white chalk to draw the lines until you are satisfied with them, then trace along the lines with black paint. After the paint dries, you can wash the towels. The chalk will wash off, but the paint will remain.

Finish off your themed bathroom with a basketball backboard and hoop laundry hamper mounted on the wall or door.
