Things You'll Need:

• Gloves
• Protective eyewear
• Trash bags
• Rag
• Acetone
• Masking tape
• Scissors
• Trash can
• Primer paint
• Paint brush or sponge

1. Set up your painting area. Lay out several garbage bags and tape them together on your painting surface.

2. Clean your gun. Dip a soft, clean rag into acetone and wipe down the gun. This will help get rid of any oils from human hands, dirt or other debris. Let the gun dry completely.

3. Cover the parts of the gun that you do not want to paint. Secure masking tape around parts like the scope, handle, grip, dials, power settings and bolt.

4. Paint your gun with a layer of primer. Use a paintbrush, spray gun or sponge. Let the primer dry completely before you paint your gun.
