Glider airplanes are popular mini-airplanes that you can easily make on your own and fly. Most of the time, glider airplanes are made out of paper, but they can also be made out of other materials like balsa wood and plastic. The ring wing glider is a specific type of glider airplane that is best made of out paper.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of paper
  • Tape
  • Ruler
  1. Step 1

Place the sheet of paper horizontally and mark 10 folding lines that are 1/2 inch apart.

  2. Step 2

Fold along the first line, giving it a crease. Take the creased edge and fold it back toward the paper. Continue folding and creasing along the lines. Keep your folding in the same direction.

  3. Step 3

Secure the crease with a piece of tape.Your stack of folds needs to maintain its shape.

  4. Step 4

Roll the sheet of paper into a cylinder shape. Both ends should align, giving it the look of a large bracelet. Take one end of the folded edge and slip it into the other end of the folded edge. This will bind it together. You can use tape if you need to.

  5. Step 5

Give the ring wing glider a test flight. Hold it in your hand like a football, with the folded end in front, and thrust it into the air in a horizontal motion. You can even give it a little spin when you launch it for a different flight effect.
