How to Make Ice Bags

Follow the acronym "RICE" to treat injuries: rest, ice, compression and elevation. If the injury is severe, or these measures do not help, consult your doctor. For minor strains and sprains, however, this process is usually sufficient. After tightly wrapping your injury and elevating it to ease swelling, put an ice bag onto the injured site. This will help ease pain and reduce swelling. Make an ice bag to keep in your freezer so it's ready when you need it.
