How to Make a Golf Ball Retriever

Sometimes golf balls end up in bushes, trees or lakes. Instead of giving up these golf balls for lost, fish them out or knock them down with a golf ball retriever. You will save tons of money over the course of your golf play, and will never lose that "lucky" ball again.

Instructions

    • 1

Cut the wire end of the fish net off with wire cutters. Leave about 3 inches of handle from the net.

    • 2

Drill a 3-inch deep hole in the center of the end of a broom handle with a 1/4-inch drill bit.

    • 3

Fill up the drilled hole with polyurethane glue. Jam the fish net into the hole.

    • 4

Wipe off any excess glue with an old rag to keep your golf ball retriever looking neat and professional. Allow your retriever to dry overnight. Once it is dry, use it to snag golf balls out of trees, bushes and even out of shallow lakes.

Tips & Warnings

  • Never attempt to get golf balls out of power lines.
