Instructions

    • 1

Sweep the area well. Use a vacuum cleaner or shop-vac to pick up any loose dirt or debris; this can drastically affect the final finish.

    • 2

Use masking tape to tape off any areas that you don't want to get stain on.

    • 3

Open the windows and doors to keep air moving through the room.

    • 4

Apply the acid stain to the floor by pouring a small amount onto the floor and spreading it around with a paint roller. Work in small sections until the entire floor is stained. The amount of stain used will determine how dark the end product will be. Basically more stain will lead to a darker floor.

    • 5

Allow the first coat to dry. This could take anywhere from 12 to 24 hours.

    • 6

Apply a second coat, then wait another 12 to 24 hours for it to dry. Use a clean lint-free cloth to wipe away any residue or rough patches.

    • 7

Apply a coat of sealer using a clean paint roller.

    • 8

Avoid walking on the floor for 24 hours after you apply the sealer.

Tips & Warnings
