How to Paint White Tips on Fingernails Using Tape
Going to the nail salon can get expensive, especially when you have bigger things to spend your money on. This does not mean that your nails have to suffer because of it. Let's face it; having half painted nails can start to look bad and clash with a otherwise perfect outfit. With some regular clear tape and white fingernail polish, you can create a white tip salon look. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- White nail polish
- Clear top coat nail polish
- Fingernail filer
- Regular clear tape
- Dry cloth

Using the fingernail filer, trim your nails so that they are all evenly shaped.

Wipe any residue off your nail bed with a dry cloth. Make sure your hands are completely dry.

Take a small piece of tape and place it at the end of where you would like your tips to stop on your fingernail. Note: the tape should be covering the majority of your nail bed, leaving the part of the nail to be painted untapped.

With the white nail polish, paint over your nail.

Wait about 30 seconds and then remove the tape. You should have a clean and straight white nail tip.

After you have repeated steps 1 through 5 on every nail, let them dry and then add the clear top coat.

Tips & Warnings
Practice on one nail before you do them all to make sure you have the hang of using the tape. Make sure the tape is pressed all the way one the nail bed so that the paint doesn't sink under the tape. This can be used for both hands and feet.
