Things You'll Need:
- Ice cubes
- Plastic scraper
- Petroleum jelly
- Laundry detergent
- Goo Gone
-
Step 1
Rub and ice cube over the glue right away. This will work if the accident just happened. As the glue hardens, you should be able to lift it right off. Any glue that remains on the fabric can be scraped off with a plastic scraper.
-
Step 2
Place the fabric in the freezer if you notice the glue on the fabric awhile after it accidentally landed there. After the glue hardens, you can scrape the glue off with a plastic scraper.
-
Step 3
Use some petroleum jelly to help remove any stubborn pieces of glue. Just put a dab of it on your finger and rub over the glue in a circular motion.
-
Step 4
Wash your fabric with some laundry detergent immediately after using the petroleum jelly.
-
Step 5
Use Goo Gone if you still can't remove the glue. Goo Gone gets rid of any type of sticky residue, glue and much more. Just pour a little bit of Goo Gone on a rag and work in to the fabric. The glue will come right off of the fabric.
