Find a Traveling Job

Traveling for your job is a great way to see new sights and meet new people. After your work is finished for the day, you can explore places you may not otherwise get to visit. Of course, not every job out there allows for traveling; but, if you want a traveling job, there are ways to find them.

Instructions

    • 1

Do an advanced search to find traveling jobs on a site such as Indeed.com. Input your criteria such as specific companies you wish to work for, as well as the type of job you are looking for. In the search box "With This Exact Phrase," you can type in travel criteria such as "50 percent Travel" and "International Travel Required." Only jobs with these requirements will pop up.

    • 2

Become a member of LinkedIn. Choose "Jobs" from the toolbar and click on "Advanced Search Options." To further narrow your search, put your requirements in quotations, and only jobs with that exact phrase will come up.

    • 3

Search for a job that requires 100 percent travel, such as cruise ship or tour guide jobs, at CruiseJobFinder.com. Tour guide jobs are available in the continental U.S. as well as overseas. There are fees associated with this site.

Try more specific sites, such as TravelJobsCareer.com, where for a fee you can search for traveling jobs. Airline jobs offer travel to pilots and flight attendants. Visit specific airline sites to search jobs or visit AirlineJobFinder.com, which charges a fee to join.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you want to gain valuable experience before entering the job market, JobMonkey.com has a whole section of overseas volunteer opportunities, including opportunities to teach English as a second language or earn college credits for international studies. Be aware that some of the links take you to fee-based sites, and if you click on "Apply for Volunteer Jobs," you are directed to a job finder website.
