How to Know When a Colon Is Clean

The colon is the part of the digestive system that extracts water and salt from waste prior to being eliminated from the body. A toxic colon can affect the function of all other organs in the body. 3. Increase water consumption to two quarts per day.

4. Beware of the detox process, which depending on how fast you cleanse, may increase depression, migraines and edginess as toxins are released from the walls of the colon and into the system.

5. Consider colonic irrigation for a quick jump-start to removing excess toxic build-up in the colon.

6. Notice when adverse symptoms subside. Specifically, energy levels will increase and the whites of the eyes become clearer with better digestive functioning. You will also notice cellulite reduction and clearer skin free from blemishes. This level of high functioning health suggests a clean, healthy colon.
