How to Make "Underworld" Stilts
The movie "Underworld" and its two sequels are a marvel of costuming and visual effects. One of the most amazing effects were the costumes created for the werewolf characters, which seemed almost catlike, with jointed legs that allowed the actors to move in realistic ways. For those costumes, the actors used special stilts designed to function similarly to athletic prosthetics. And while for safety reasons it's not advisable to try and build your own, you can re-create the look using common materials that you can find at any craft store.
