Want to keep your stainless steel appliances shiny and appearing new? Here are some easy cleaning methods for 4 different levels of cleaning.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cloth
  • Warm Water
  • Mild Detergent
  • Glass Cleaner
  • Stainless Steel Cleaner
  • Paper Towel
  1. Step 1

If your appliance needs only a simple cleaning, say from dust, then the easiest and best solution is to simply clean with a wet cloth. Just wet a cloth with warm water and wipe away the dust. Then dry with a paper towel to eliminate water spots.

  2. Step 2

If the dirt requires a little bit more cleaning power than simply water, you can use a mild detergent such as dish washing soap on a cloth with warm water. Make sure you rinse the surface well though to avoid spots and stains. Again, as in the first method, dry with a paper towel.

  3. Step 3

For fingerprints, a simple glass cleaner and a paper towel will get the job done well. Simply spray some glass cleaner on your appliance and dry with the paper towel.

  4. Step 4

If the dirt and grime is still present, or your appliance is looking dull and needs a polish, a stainless steel cleaner is your answer. You can find these at most grocery stores and other retailers. These are made especially for stainless steel, but it is important to follow all instructions on the bottle.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you dry the surface well after cleaning to prevent water spots
  • If you use a detergent or cleaner be sure to rinse well to prevent spots and stains
  • Follow all instructions on the bottle
  • Test the stainless steel cleaner in an inconspicuous spot on the appliance
