How to Install a CCleaner
CCleaner is a freeware application that deletes temporary Internet files, cookies, temporary application files, and browsing history with the click of a button. You can alter startup settings for your computer and clean your registry, as well. Another feature of CCleaner is the ability to empty your recycle bin while it deletes all other unwanted files. The cleaning process takes less than 30 seconds and uses little memory. You can run the program from the Start menu or through your recycle bin.

3
Choose where to install CCleaner. The default location works best for most users. However, changing the location will not affect the way the application works. Click "Next" to continue installation.

4
Choose whether to place a link to CCleaner on your desktop, in the quick launch toolbar, and/or with your recycle bin. A link is automatically placed in your Start menu.
It is recommended to add a link to the recycle bin for easier use. You can then right-click your recycle bin and run CCleaner without ever opening the CCleaner application. For best results, add a link to the recycle bin and the desktop. This will allow easy access from the desktop when you want to change any settings or run a registry scan. -

Click "Next" to complete the installation. Once complete, click "Run CCleaner" to run your first scan.

Tips & Warnings
Download the latest version of the program by clicking "Check for Updates" at the bottom right corner of the CCleaner screen.
If you're unsure about anything found in the registry scan, don't delete anything. Be sure to create a backup for your registry when prompted in case there are errors after the registry cleanup. You will be prompted to create one before fixing any registry errors.
