How to Create Free World of Warcraft Trial Accounts
With more than 12 million players, "World of Warcraft" is the biggest and arguably the best massively multiplayer online role-playing game, or MMORPG, in the world. To play, you need to buy the game program as well as pay a monthly subscription fee, which can get expensive. What if you want to try the game just to see if it's worth the cost and the hype? You can sign up for a free trial account.

Check the system requirements at the World of Warcraft website to ensure your computer can support the game. If you're still unsure, run the system test at System Requirements Lab (see Resources section). You'll find the game near the bottom of the alphabetized list at the "Select a Product" dropdown.

Go to the World of Warcraft Free Trial signup page and click the "Create Free 10-Day Account" button.

Enter the security characters to confirm you are a person and not a robot on the "Security Check" screen. Click the "Continue" button.

Enter your name, address, email, phone number and other contact information on the "Contact Info" screen. Fields with the red asterisk are required, and minors must ask their parent or guardian to fill out these fields.

Read the Terms of Use and License agreements and click a check into the "Terms of Use" checkbox. Click the "Continue" button.

Enter the account name and password you want to use in the "Account Creation" screen. Select a secret question and enter an answer. This is used to verify your identity if you lose your password. Click the "Continue" button.

Check that your account details and contact information are correct. Click the "Create Account" button.

The "Account Creation Complete" screen appears and a confirmation message is sent to the email address you entered in the "Contact Info" screen. Click the "Download for PC" or "Download for Mac" button to download the installation program onto your computer. When the download is finished, click on TryWow.exe to install the game.

Play "World of Warcraft" for free. The standard trial length is 10 days, though 14 days are available to holders of special promotion keys.

Tips & Warnings
When your trial expires, your account is automatically discontinued. If you want to continue playing, you must upgrade to a retail account (subscription) using a credit card.
