How to Override a Sonicwall
Sonicwall is a filtering program used by schools, businesses, and even individual home network administrators to prevent computer users from accessing specific types of websites that aren't pertinent to the main use of the computer. Sonicwall has a security loophole you can take advantage of to access those sites anyway. The program only blocks the Universal Resource Locater (URL) of the website and not the actual Internet Protocol (IP) address behind the URL. You can use an IP look up service to access the blocked web pages.

Tips & Warnings
The Sonicwall administrator may have already manually blocked all of the IP look up websites available. If that is the case, you may need to look up the IP number of the web page at an off site computer and simply write down the address.
If the administrator of the Sonicwall filtering program discovers that you are overriding the filter, there could potentially be disciplinary consequences such as being banned from accessing any computers on the premises.
